About Subterrane
You are a caver who has slipped deeper into the caves they were exploring than they intended. You must navigate the cave system to find a way outside, avoiding the creatures that dwell in the deep and confronting the fears found in the dark. Jump, climb, crawl, and run through the rocky underground landscape and find your way to the surface.
Subterrane was developed using the Unity3D game engine as a 10 week class project. The original concept was a caving (spelunking) game, which developed into a sort of horror-platformer, playing on the fear of depths, tight spaces, darkness, and centipedes.

About Team Spelunkadunk
Our team is composed of third year students (juniors) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in the class Game Development II. All of our team members are also part of the Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences program at RPI, with varying concentrations and dual majors. We have 2 artists and 3 programmers, with one of our programmers doubling as the sound designer, all of whom contributed to the game design. The team name came from the original, working title (Spelunkadunk) which we used during design and development. We eventually decided that the horror elements of the game weren't well represented by Spelunkadunk, but still liked the name.
Tif Entwistle - Art
WebsiteTif is enrolled in the Games program with a concentration in Electronic Arts. Her focus is character models, though she produces art in all areas, and is an excellent 2D artist as well, and produced concept art, textures, models, and rigs.
Kevin Hendricks - Programming/Sound
WebsiteKevin concentrates in Computer Science within the Games program, though he is a jack-of-all-trades and formerly concentrated in Electronic Arts. He has significant experience, outside of programming, in 2D art, sound design, and music composition, as well as AI and scripted both sound and AI in Subterrane.
James McCarthy - Art
WebsiteJim has a dual major in Electronic Arts and Games. He is primarily an animator, but he also produced the environment art models and textures, level design, and level building in addition to the animations.
Matthew McMullan - Programming
WebsiteMatt is a dual major with Computer Science and Games in addition to the concentration, focusing in computer graphics. He has experience with rendering and simulation, and was key in scripting Subterrane.
Ian Ooi - Programming
WebsiteIan is also a dual major in Computer Science and Games, also with a focus in graphics. He has experience with a number of different areas, as well as rendering, simulation and AI, and was responsible for both scripting and the original concept.
